Covert and overt surveillance is a useful and effective tool for gathering information on a person or group. It is typically used as part of an investigation into workplace crime, insurance fraud and other illegal activities. Our team of skilled operatives is dedicated to delivering accurate and actionable intelligence, helping you make informed decisions and protect your interests.
Covert surveillance is, as the name suggests, carried out without the subject’s knowledge whereas overt surveillance is performed using devices which are visible and obvious. Using many different techniques, including mobile surveillance, static observation and the placement of covert surveillance equipment ensures that the best results are delivered. Tremark’s surveillance operatives are highly skilled with a military or police background and many years of experience. They are trained to use specialist equipment, including GPS tracking systems and covert body cameras.
At Tremark, we prioritise integrity and professionalism in all our surveillance operations by ensuring compliance with the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and other legal requirements. Our highly trained operatives conduct both covert and overt surveillance with precision, adhering to strict ethical guidelines and respecting privacy rights. Utilising advanced technology, we capture high-quality, court-admissible evidence, providing robust support for any legal actions or proceedings.
How much does surveillance cost?
Our surveillance fees start from £85 + VAT per hour, per operative, with a minimum deployment of 8 to 10 hours per operative. Additional expenses such as mileage, parking and hotels are charged separately where applicable.
Why do you usually recommend a 2-operative surveillance team?
We normally deploy surveillance using a 2-operative team because it provides better continuity of observation, reduces the risk of losing the subject, lowers the chance of compromise and improves flexibility during both mobile and foot surveillance. It also helps us obtain stronger intelligence and better photographic and video evidence.
How do you plan a surveillance operation?
Every case is different, so we begin with a pre-surveillance visit to assess the location, plan positioning and improve the prospects of a successful deployment. This allows us to approach each instruction in a professional, discreet and evidence-led way.
What do we receive after the surveillance has been completed?
At the conclusion of the deployment, we provide a comprehensive surveillance report, a full surveillance log, photographic evidence, video evidence, and where required, material suitable for court use. We also carry out pre- and post-surveillance team meetings to support clear reporting and structured evidence handling.
